This application note details the installation requirements for the Polar Instruments RITS520a Robotic Impedance Test System

Services required

The RITS520a requires no air, water or drainage.

The system requires no exhaust extraction.

Electricity supply

Single phase 230V or 115V with protective earth conductor.

Total power requirement including computer equipment, 500W

Connection to the machine is via a flexible cord terminated in an IEC320 connector.

A suitable cord is supplied with the machine along with a local plug.

Space required

A typical floor area of 5m x 4m should allow access to the machine for operation and maintenance.

Additional space for work in/out racking may be required.

The machine dimensions are 1270mm deep x 1580mm wide x 1750mm.

Doorways should be a minimum of 1300mm in width, 1800 in height.

The dimensions of the supplied computer workstation are 700mm x 600mm.

The workstation is designed to be used alongside the RITS520a and can be set for operating standing or sitting.
NB — no operator chair is supplied.
Mobility

Delivery is on a pallet, overall packed dimensions:
W 1350mm, L 1700mm, H1800mm, gross weight 350Kg

Unpacking instructions are in the outer shrink wrapping.

Unpacking and removal should be performed by at least two suitable persons.

The RITS520a is mounted on castors and can be moved on a smooth surface without steps (or major changes in gradient) by two suitable persons. Ensure feet fully retracted before moving.

Movement by fork lift is possible after the packing is removed, if care is taken.

Once the RITS520a is in position the feet should be lowered to provide stability.

The flat packed computer workstation is assembled on site.

As above, if the machine is to be moved between rooms doorways should be a minimum of 1300mm in width and 1800mm in height.
