Back to SB200

Please check this list of FAQs before asking for technical support on the SB200a
If you are an Si8000 customer with a version V2.30 and below, you will need to move to V3.00 or above to enjoy communication with the SB200 professional - read this note first.
1. My SB200 does not print PDFs correctly - the text is corrupted and the pictures unclear.

Please check you use Distiller to output the file from Acrobat.  Some versions of Adobe have 2 output printer drivers - PDF Writer and Distiller.  Always choose distiller.  Polar recommends Acrobat 6.0. However the SB200 has been tested on both Acrobat 4.0 and Acrobat 5.0

2. How do I set the units - can  I use metric or imperial measurements?

You need to use consistently the same type of measurement on the SB200a.  Start by loading the default library in the unit of your choice, and whilst using that library resource you need to consistently use the same unit type.

3. When I install the demonstration SB200, where do I locate the license file?

Please contact your local polar sales contact to arrange for a demonstration licence file to be sent to you. On receipt of the licence (*.lic) please place the licence in the:

C:\Program Files\Polar\Licences folder

On next startup of the SB200 please navigate to this file when requested by the software. Once you have located the file the software will activate for the demonstration period.

4. When I purchase the SB200, I still see the Evaluation edition watermark ?

If you have been supplied with a Fixed or Floating Licence it will be necessary to switch the Licence type to the appropriate option.

On receipt of your new licence, you will need to delete the evaluation licence file from the

C:\Program Files\Polar\Licences folder

Place the new licence in this folder and restart the SB200, and navigate to the new licence file you have just received. The SB200 will now operate in fully licenced mode.
