FT100

PCB Test – Fixtureless Fault-finding

Polar FT100s helps you test and fault-find assembled PCBs by automatically probing each node of a PCB or each of the legs or PCB pads of fine pitch devices. You do not need a dedicated test fixture since the FT100s learns the position of each test point to be probed. You simply use the FT100s to probe and learn automatically the response of a golden (good) PCB. Batches of the same type of PCB can then be automatically probed and the FT100 will identify any differences. The FT100s compares net impedance and contrasts differences between the board under test and the known good board.

FT100s is especially useful for faultfinding

Prototypes
High value boards
Boards that have developed faults in operation
Short series production runs

FTCam is a graphical repair tool and a powerful nodal optimised programming system for the FT100s, the FTCam can read data from a wide variety of bare and loaded board formats.
