Polarcare introduced
A shift in emphasis to longer lived products, and customer desire
for regular updates of the same led
to the introduction
of Polarcare
mainentence and support program across our whole software range.

Speedstack PCB v1.0
Controlled impedance PCB stackup design and documentation
replaced the SB200 - the addition of impedance design
and documentation
set the product on course for two decades of growth. The Speedstack
printout is recognisable
world wide
and appears in production documentation
through to technical papers and magazine articles.

SpeedFlex
Rigid flex pcbs are complex to lay up and assemble,
SpeedFlex
- and later
Speedstack Flex
led the way in rigid flex design
and documenation tools.

SiExcel for Lossless Calculations
In 2008 SiExcel had an update moving to the BEM field solver as in the Si8000m

|

Si8000m – Sensitivity Analysis
More than just a field solver - practical enhancements for the Si8000m included sensitivity analysis

CGen Controlled Impedance and Insertion Loss Coupon Generator
Completing a suite of tools for PCB impedance control design and manufacture,
CGen
automatically generates impedance coupons from Speedstack output.

Si8000m/Si9000e XFE crosshatch configuration
Polar's proprietary technique, XFE (Crosshatch Flex Enhancement) uses a unique algorithm to correct
for the effects of flex over a wide range of typical controlled impedance structures.

CITS900s Controlled Impedance Test System
Launched at a time when PCB fabrication was rapidly
expanding in Asia and ESD protection was perhaps
not as well
understood as in
other regions
– the CITS900 gained
a reputation for being less reliable than previous generations.
However,
to this day some customers still enjoy long service from the CITS900s

Track Resistance Calculator (TRC Plus)
The TRC Plus calculator provides support for long Length of Line (LL) values and support for Temperature Coefficient of Resistance

CITS880 Controlled Impedance Test System
The CITS880 retrurned to the CITS800 architecture and at the same time, control of ESD in the rapidly growing Asian market improved. These two factors recovered the CITS' reputation for providing a durable, repeatable and accurate solution for production impedance test.

CITS DRG Pro Datalog Report Generator
The Datalog Report Generator accepts logged data from CITS
log files and summarises and displays logged data – test parameters and test results, including Cp and Cpk.

Si Projects
Group together a set of related structures or multiple instances of the same structure type with different parameter values

|

CITS880s Controlled Impedance Test System
Pulse enhancement software enabled testing of shorter traces – and
also enabled the introduction of "groundless" differential
probes, necessary for some ethernet designs with pure balanced differential pairs with no adjacent or underlying ground planes.
Customers also appreciated the ability to make a differential test with a single connecting coax cable.

Speedstack 3rd party Export options
Export to 3rd party systems: Cadence Allegro, Mentor Xpedition, Zuken CR-8000 and Ucamco Integr8tor. These import and export capabilities enabled fabricators and designers to fully incorporate Speedstack
into their production and design environments.
